About: Brian Rodgers, Owner
AMP Quality Energy Services opened its doors in 2009, but it really began in the heart of its owner Brian Rodgers over 30 years ago. With a God-given entrepreneurial spirit and a natural bent to "think outside the box", Brian's life experiences seem to have made the creation of AMP an inevitable next step. His father died when he was seven years old. He, too, had started a company, but that had failed. Brian took lessons from what his mother told him during their homeschooling days about why the company had failed, and he determined to learn from them. He and his grandfather spent a lot of time together in the following years, the two of them building a house for Brian's family to live in when Brian was just 8-9 years old. The family didn't have much money, so when the lawn mower or air conditioner or washing machine failed, Brian learned how to fix it. His grandfather, whose work ethic Brian seems to have inherited, taught him that proper maintenance would reduce the risk of failure. So he would frequently take the lawn mower apart and grease each part thoroughly. In this Brian developed a sense of excellence in his work and ingenuity in doing things in the most cost effective way. He got his first paying job at 14 years old and has worked ever since. Even at 14 he watched the management of companies closely and learned what worked and what didn't. He also read Tom Swift books and was inspired by the management lessons found in them. Brian worked for an electrical testing company for over ten years, during which time he developed a passion for excellence in the electrical testing and maintenance world. God had given him a desire for leadership and management that led him to begin AMP QES in 2009 with just a dream, a laptop, and one employee in the basement of his home, shared with his wife and three children, with a fourth child on the way. At the time, his three children were Allie, Maggie, and Penelope - AMP. God has since blessed Brian and his wife Julie with three more children; Rosemary, Samuel, and Bethany. He has blessed AMP with a building, a few more employees and a few more laptops since then.
The vision that God put on Brian's heart for AMP was an electrical testing company that would far exceed its customers' expectations of service and expertise. He strives to manage AMP from the perspective that the company is owned by God, who has entrusted it to Brian as a steward. Inside the walls of AMP you will find the Scripture, "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men." -Colossians 3:23, this is the goal of AMP Quality Energy Services.
